- What Is Christian Life Coaching? Christian life coaching supports individuals as they navigate challenges such as grief, self-esteem, marriage, health, life goals, and personal growth. Coaches use a biblical worldview to help clients discover and manage their God-given purpose. The role of the coach is not to impose personal beliefs, but to help clients gain clarity, develop focus, and grow professionally, socially, and spiritually.
- How do I receive coaching or pastoral care counseling? Coaching and pastoral care counseling are available virtually for clients’ convenience, and are conducted using Zoom, which is available via phone Apps and computers/tablets. However, for emergency coaching and pastoral care counseling, local clients (within 50 miles) of Brunswick County, NC, may have face-to-face consultations or sessions.* *Emergencies apply to hospice/hospital and home confinement clients. This situation may also apply to victims of domestic violence and their children.
- Do Clients Have to Be Christian? No. Clients are not required to be Christian or religious to work with a Christian life coach. Just as Christ meets us where we are, Arisen Power Ministries meets all who require help and support. However, those who choose this form of coaching should be aware that Christian or spiritual perspectives may be integrated into the sessions. Selecting a life coach should be based on how well the coaching style aligns with the client’s needs and goals.
- Why Choose a Christian Life Coach Instead of a Counselor or Therapist? Life coaches help clients explore options that enhance fulfillment in various areas, including career, relationships, ministry, and business. Christian life coaches rely on biblical principles to guide understanding and purpose. Clients are encouraged to actively engage in positive cognitive and behavioral changes to achieve meaningful goals. Life coaching is complementary to counseling and therapy, not a replacement. Individuals dealing with past trauma or emotional injury are encouraged to seek licensed counseling or therapeutic services. Counselors and therapists focus on healing past experiences and developing sustainable life plans. Life coaching, by contrast, emphasizes the present and future—empowering clients to identify obstacles, set achievable goals, and pursue balanced, healthy, and fulfilling lives. Coaches do not make decisions for clients but support them in discovering their own paths forward. Life coaching is also beneficial for individuals who are already successful and seeking greater clarity, purpose, or next-level growth.
- What is your commitment to DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion)? Diversity, equity, and inclusion are foundational to our mission. Arisen Power Ministries’ life coaching and community support services aim to improve the quality of life for individuals and communities with limited access to essential resources. We are committed to promoting mental, physical, and spiritual well-being by providing education, support, and resources that empower healthier lifestyles and holistic growth for all.
